Angela Raphael is a Florida native and has lived in Naples for twenty-three years. She is joyfully married to her best friend, Chris, and they have four children, ages eleven, thirteen, sixteen, and twenty. She completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she is currently working on her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education. In addition to graduate school, she is completing the steps to certification from The Institute for Excellence in Writing. Angela is Hillsdale College-trained for K-12 and also holds her Educator’s Certificate for English Language Arts for grades 6-12. As a lifelong learner, she remains inspired by the humanities rooted in Western civilization. She believes that a Biblical liberal arts education prepares students with the skills necessary to shine bright like stars in this generation (Philippians 2:15).
With twenty years of experience working with children as a recreational therapist, home educator, ministry leader, and upper school teacher, Angela brings a trove of wisdom to the VSL community. She embraces education as her ministry, relentlessly pursuing knowledge that is true and virtuous through the classical pedagogy. She commits herself to imparting both knowledge and discernment to her students (Proverbs 18:15), in the noble calling to make magnanimous citizens of them all.
